Happy (Belated) New Year!!!
I pray that everyone had a great New Year celebration! We had a wonderful time ringing in the new year at our church. We had a talent show, watched a riveting video of a 1-man performance entitled St. John in Exile, and played a number of games. It was a great time!
With the new year comes opportunites to look back on the accomplishments and failures of the past year as well as looking forward to what possibilities the future holds. I don't care to make new years resolutions because I tend to break them within the first 48 hours of making them. I prefer to set growth opportunity goals. Here are a few I'd like to accomplish in 2k7:
Read my Bible daily!
Lose weight. (I am serious! Naturally, everybody that I know that needs to lose weight wants to do this one.)
Work on anger issues.
Look into new job possibilites.
Reduce stress in my life.
Enjoy more time with Dawn.
Support Dawn in her college endeavors in any way that I can.
These are but a few items. There are more, but these are a good place to start. Of course none of these will succeeed without including God so I pray that as I set out to achieve these goals that the Lord will guide me and bless me with success as I grow closer to Him and conform to the image of His Son.
